Recipe for Chowgra
Ingredents: assorted vegetables 3 finely sliced onions ? tsp ginger paste ? tsp garlic paste ? tsp turmeric powder ? whisked yoghurt 2 green cardamoms 4 cloves 1 small bay leaf ? " piece of cinnamon ? tsp caraway seeds juice 1 lemon oil salt to taste
Method:
fry the vegetables, one variety at a time in hot oil. Set aside and leave 2/3 cup of oil in the pan. Fry the onions till golden in color before adding ginger and garlic. Cook for a minute and add salt, turmeric and chilli powder. Sprinkle some water and simmer. Add the fried vegetables and then the yoghurt. Cook at medium heat.Add the ground spices and lemon juice. Serve hot.
